FAQ’s.
Do I need a referral?
As osteopaths are first point health care practitioners, you generally do not need a referral to come see us.
Exceptions to this are patients who are attending under a DVA plan, or CDM plan. These patients will require referral from their GP - If you have any questions please contact us.
Are treatment costs covered by Medicare?
Medicare rebates are only available for patients on referral from their GP (General Practitioner) with a Chronic Disease Management plan (CDM). These plans are designed to enhance access to allied health services for people with chronic conditions - please speak to your GP if you feel this may apply to you.
Is treatment covered by private health insurance?
Osteopathic care is generally covered by extras cover on private health insurance. Please check with your health insurer if your current policy covers osteopathic treatment. We also have HICAPS facilities onsite, allowing you to claim directly with your health fund for the consultation.
Do you treat Comcare and DVA patients?
Yes, we are registered to provide care for patients from Comcare, DVA, and other 3rd party insurers. Please provide us with all relevant documentation prior to your first appointment. If you have any questions please contact us.
